Alex Yeandle

I'm an Assistant Professor in Political Science at Aarhus University.
I received my PhD from the London School of Economics, and was previously a Postdoctoral Prize Research Fellow in Politics at Nuffield College, University of Oxford.
I study the political consequences of technological change in low-income countries. I'm interested in how states use digital tools to expand their presence in society, and how society responds to these shifts. I also study challenges to accountability, including work on protests, natural disasters, election integrity, and foreign aid withdrawals.
My recent work is published in, or forthcoming at, the American Journal of Political Science, British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, World Development, European Journal of Political Research, and International Studies Quarterly.
